Who is Margaret Kerry Tinker Bell?

Anytime I introduce 96yr old Margaret Kerry to someone new they are happy to meet a kind nearly 100 yr old. They are impressed that she can still dance and chat and entertain. Then I show them the photos of her when they DREW HER in Walt Disney's Peter Pan. 

Their eyes suddenly gets bigger as they realize they are meeting the original Tinker Bell!

Before Margaret Kerry, Tinker Bell was a light on the stage in Sir J.M. Barrie's 1904 play and a paragraph in his 1911 book! The look and personality we know as Tinker Bell is Margaret! There was not even a drawing of Tinker Bell in the original book!

Disney Legend Animator and Imagineer Marc Davis picked Actor and Dancer Margaret Kerry to be Tinker Bell! Margaret was on the sound stage and they drew HER!  Margaret's personality came through as she would pantomime the scenes for the most famous Fairy in the World!
